Taking account of the natural feeling for light and the reaction to certain light moods, lighting designer Michele A. Rami places people and their well-being at the centre of his planning approach: Architecture is made for people. It must give them a place where they feel comfortable, where they can be who they are. And many factors play a role in this, some of which cannot be physicallymeasured. The book See the Light showcases this approach and all its facets. The projects presented include, among others, several projects of the Stuttgart architects Bottega + Ehrhardt for whom Candela developed the lighting planning, the single-family house Dupli.Casa planned by Jürgen Mayer H. and, last but not least, the guest and holiday home berge by the design company Nils Holger Moormann in Aschau. Michele A. Rami founded the Candela lighting design studio in 1995. Today, around 15 employees work on a whole range of different lighting assignments at the offices in Stuttgart and Ulm. Administration buildings, public buildings, doctors offices, agencies, shops and exhibitions are among the projects for which Rami and his team develop lighting concepts alongside restaurants, bars and private homes.
