Here is a book that introduces an innovative and practical craft art that utilises origami techniques -specifically the 'hira-ori' style- to create folded cloth patterns based on classic geometric designs. These patterns have been influenced by architecture and by the traditional decorative motifs of many cultures, and are possessed of a layered complexity resulting from interraction with light. They further change in appearance when back-lit (for example when used as lamp-shades, or as dividing screens).
