This sumptuous book is a celebration of the iconic French designer's lifetime of fully 80 seasonal collections 40 years of triumphant fashion. Interlaced with remarkable anecdotes and reminiscencesalongside candid photos by acclaimed photographers Dominique Issermann and Sarah Moon, plus images from official Sonia Rykiel ad campaigns as they appeared in leading fashion publications suchas Vogue, Elle, and Marie-Claire. Sonia Rykiel own label achieved instant acclaim from its inception in 1968. She created decorativefeatures that transformed knitwear into fashion: no-hem and unlined pieces, bold stripes, lace, rhinestones and sweaters with written messages.
