The idea behind Haus was first implemented by PeterFischli and David Weiss as part of the Skulptur ProjekteMünster in 1987. Haus was intended as a 1:15 scalerepresentation of a four-storey commercial building inthe modern international style. The artwork, reflecting therelationship between everyday life and architecture, wasrecreated in 2016 on the basis of the original plans forthe retrospective at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum,New York.
