Cyclops, his legendary first book, and Mad Dog, the catalogue to his exhibition at the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Düsseldorf in 1996, are longstanding photo classics for insiders and made Albert Watson, the Scottish doyen of photography, known to a wider audience. On the occasion of an Albert Watson exhibition at the Kunsthalle Rostock, Germany, in 2002, Schirmer/Mosel published this large-size volume with 51 mostly unpublished photographs. Eroticism, artist portraits, fashion, design and still lives, always coupled with a dash of the grotesque, have been Watsons subject from the very beginning. In this book, he extends his motifs to American landscapes and for the first time presents pictures in color.
